Katanaya!

I tried to say this can't be the best bowl of ramen i have ever tasted. I tried several ramen places in the San Francisco/Daly City area, and still nothing beats Katanaya. This ramen place is easy to miss, since it is a hole in the wall. One good thing about it is it is accessible by BART/Muni, and a block away from Union Square. The atmosphere is nice, clean and staffed by Japanese employees. I have seen many many Japanese customers, so it must be the real deal!

This you gotta try: Deep Fried Chicken Ramen with Rich Miso broth. I am drooling over this image as we speak.

Straits

Straits is a Singaporean/Southeast Asian cuisine restaurant located in Westfield Mall, San Francisco. I have been there twice and I love every visit! All their dishes has been tasty and has left a lasting mark on my taste buds. Try these two dishes next time you go!

1) Mee Goreng -
Spicy Indian style egg noodles
wok-tossed with tofu, prawns
and potatoes




2) Potong Kari Ayam -
Traditional Singapore curried
chicken with potatoes
